Common questions.

What is EmPower+?

A New York State program run by NYSERDA that pays for insulation, air sealing and an energy assessment for income-eligible homeowners. Many homes get the work at no cost; others get 50% off.

What do I need to apply?

A HEAP, SNAP, TANF or SSI award letter from the last 12 months, or recent pay stubs or a tax return, plus a recent electric bill and gas or fuel bill. We walk you through it.

I rent. Can I still apply?

Renters need written approval from the landlord. Request a free quote anyway and we'll tell you what's possible.

What if my income is over the limit?

You may still get rebates through NYSERDA Comfort Home. We'll check what applies to your home.

Are you NYSERDA?

No. We're a private company that helps you apply and does the work. NYSERDA makes all eligibility decisions.
